A fantastic little lavender-clad volume of poems with GLBT subjects. Everything from Sappho to Constantine Cavafy to Lawrence Hart (" . . . and worship the trousers that cling to him") is in here. As far as I know, this delight has been in print ever since its debut back in 2001. It surely deserves to be. Why not buy two: one for purposes of education, the other for purposes of seduction?
I recommend this book!I'm glade to have a book for love poems for LGBT that is not either expensive or out of print. There great mix of poems divided by chapters of Longing, Looking, Love, Ecastasy, Anxiety and Aftermath. Underneath each chapter there's poetry to matches with said chapter aka poetry about longing would be found under chapter of Longing.I do have bit feelings thought while most poetry were wonderful there some I wasn't too happy but that's just like poetry your not going to like all of it.
Poetry by some of the all-time great authors who were gay/lesbian. I'm pleased such a highly esteemed imprint of Everyman's Library Pocket has chosen to collect and publish these great poems.
